I’ll complete abandoned Kwali township stadium -Wike vows
Wike noted that the people at the grassroots also deserve quality infrastructural facilities, with a pledge to take a lead in the history of the FCT in that regard.
Federal Capital Territory FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of Kwali Area Council of his determination to complete the abandoned township stadium.
He gave the assurance on Wednesday in Yangoji while flagging off the construction of the 11km Kwali-Sukuku-Abo road.
According to him, all abandoned projects in the area council inherited from his administration would be completed.
The 20,000-capacity sporting facility was awarded along with five others across the six area councils of the territory under the administration of former FCT minister Bala Mohammed.
Wike noted that the people at the grassroots also deserve quality infrastructural facilities, with a pledge to take a lead in the history of the FCT in that regard.
He said part of the move is to remodel some selected schools in the six area councils within the next six months.
“This is the first time we are going to drive development in rural areas. We are touching rural areas to renew their hope because they have suffered years of abandonment.
“This is your time to benefit. If we don’t take care of rural areas, then we have failed as a government, he stated.
