Ilupeju’s massive plastic industry gutted by fire

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently battling a fire in the early hours of the morning at Mega Plastic, Ilupeju bye pass, Mushin area of Lagos.

Firefighters are seen battling to extinguish the roaring fire, which apparently began about 5 a.m. on Saturday.

As of press time, no reports of causality had been received.

Margaret Adeseye, Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, who confirmed the occurrence, explained that

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is received assistance from the other emergency responders to restore normalcy to the situation.

“As of now, no casualties have been recorded, and the investigation into the incident will begin once the firefighting operations are completed,” Adeseye stated.
