I’m Not at Peace Being Separated from My Children – Regina Daniels
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels shares an emotional message about being separated from her children amid marital issues with Senator Ned Nwoko, saying no mother can be at peace apart from her kids.
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about the emotional toll of being apart from her children amid reported marital challenges with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In an Instagram post shared late Monday night, the actress posted a touching video call with her children, Prince Munir Nwoko (Moon) and Prince Khalifa Nwoko (Kharly). During the call, Regina showed the gifts she had bought for them, including toys, clothes and shoes.
In the emotional exchange, one of the children pleaded, “Mama, come back,” to which she responded, “I will come soon, OK.”
They also told her, “Take care of us and yourself… love you.”
Reflecting on the experience in the caption, Regina wrote:
“People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children. I chose not to allow that pain to define or imprison me, which is why it took time for me to walk away.”
She also took a swipe at her estranged husband over his recent social media posts featuring their children. Senator Nwoko had shared a family video on Sunday with the caption: “Sundays are for slowing down, reconnecting, and doing what truly matters. My family and I spent today doing the simple things that bring the most joy.”
Reacting, Regina said such posts raise concerns about motive, writing:
“These actions make it reasonable to question whether his behaviour is motivated by public engagement rather than parental responsibility.”
The actress disclosed that she had initially chosen to remain silent to avoid media attention but decided to speak out, noting:
“The last time I spoke to my kids was mid-November.”
Reaffirming her devotion as a mother, Regina added:
“I am left to wonder whether I am truly such a threat that I am being challenged so aggressively. I may be young, but I am such a mum, I enjoy being a mum, and I miss being a mum. It’s so crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon!”
