I’m Still with APC — Senator Gbenga Daniel Dismisses PDP Defection Rumour

Former Ogun State Governor and current Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, has denied reports suggesting he is planning to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The clarification comes days after Senator Daniel and one Mr. Kunle Folarin were suspended by the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged anti-party activities.

In a statement released by the OGD Media Office, the lawmaker dismissed the defection rumours, reaffirming his loyalty to the APC.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Gbenga Daniel is and remains a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, a Senator and remains on the platform of the APC,” the statement read.

Daniel emphasized that any claim linking him to a PDP return is “far from the truth,” maintaining that he remains committed to the APC despite recent political tensions.
