INEC declares that APC’s Okpebholo leads in the 16 LGAs announced
Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 195,954 votes, while Okpebholo received 244,549, according to results from 16 LGAs released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.

In the Edo State gubernatorial election that was held on Saturday, Monday Okpebholo, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), is leading.
Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 195,954 votes, while Okpebholo received 244,549, according to results from 16 LGAs released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
13,348 votes were cast in favor of Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party, LP.

Meanwhile, INEC has announced a 3-hour recess to await results from the final two local governments.
So far, results from 16 LGAs have been presented at the commission’s headquarters in Benin City.
Collation is set to resume at 5 p.m.
