JUST IN: Electric pole falls on Lagos road, causes gridlock

Scene of incident

There was apprehension on Tuesday after a high-tension electric pole fell at Egbeda, in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The incident has caused traffic gridlock along the axis as security operatives cordoned off the spot.

Officials of Ikeja Electric Distribution Company were sighted at the scene of the incident.

Residents said the electric pole fell around 5:30 am.

No casualty was recorded.
