The Nigerian musician Portable expressed his opinions about the next countrywide demonstration.

Many groups are planning a demonstration between August 1 and August 10 to express their displeasure with the nation’s economic suffering, especially the rising cost of living, according to numerous recall reports.

Portable claimed that there was no need for the demonstration in a post on his Instagram story, writing, “Nigeria is okay.”

He asserted that those organizing the protests are “jobless” and ought to put more effort into defending themselves than Nigeria.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker emphasised that he would not be participating in the protest.

Portable said, “It won’t be well with anyone who tells me to perform during the protest. Don’t you have a producer too, you should collect the mic and join the protest too.”

He continued, “Please I need money, I’m hustling. If you take your job seriously, you won’t join the protest. Fight for yourself, don’t fight for Nigeria. Nigeria is okay, you are the one who is not okay. There is money in some places, you are the one who didn’t hustle. You are the one who is not loyal to your helper.”
