Kabiru Tsoho: One Year As Falakin Gombe -By Adamu Usman Garko

As he celebrates one year as the first ever Falakin Gombe, I pray that Allah in His infinite mercy clothes him in the raiment of His ever enduring protection and infallible guidance, and may His (Allah’s) blessing never cease to rain on him.

Emir of Gombe

Around this time last year, the Emir of Gombe honoured us by reaffirming and officially recognizing Alhaji Kabiru Tsoho as the first ever Falakin Gombe. This honour brought smile to our faces and elicited long lasting happiness in many of us, especially those of us who are cognizant of Kabiru Tsoho’s exemplary impacts in the development and growth of Gombe State.

However, unlike many out there, Kabiru Tsoho strongly believes in achieving silently, and touching lives without advertisement or quest for attention, knowing for sure that everything is done in Allah’s divine omnipresence, while hoping and praying that the all Supreme, the Almighty Allah rewards him, as He is enough for him. That particular trait of him is what has always drawn me to emulating him as a mentor.

Beyond his wealth of knowledge and experience in finance, and how he has leveraged on that to immensely help in redirecting the economy of Gombe, is his unrivalled composure and humility. Alhaji Kabiru Tsoho leads a simple life driven by honesty and sincerity of purpose.

As he celebrates one year as the first ever Falakin Gombe, I pray that Allah in His infinite mercy clothes him in the raiment of His ever enduring protection and infallible guidance, and may His (Allah’s) blessing never cease to rain on him.
