Kazakhstan wins bronze in the 10m mixed team shooting event, its first Olympic medal.
Janssen, ranked world number one in the event, and Ulbrich, the world No.19, had been favourites to prevail against Le and Satpayev, ranked 33rd and 95th in the world respectively.
The 10-meter mixed team air rifle event saw Kazakhstan’s Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev stun the field to win bronze, giving them their first Olympic medal.
At Chateauroux, Le and Satpayev easily defeated Maximilian Ulbrich and Anna Janssen of Germany, winning 17–5.
Janssen, ranked world number one in the event, and Ulbrich, the world No.19, had been favourites to prevail against Le and Satpayev, ranked 33rd and 95th in the world respectively.
