The Chairman of Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area, Hussaini Aliyu, has released the full list of the 25 students abducted from Government Girls Comprehensive School, Maga. He also dismissed a claim by U.S. lawmaker Riley Moore suggesting that the attack took place in a Christian community.

Aliyu clarified that all the kidnapped students are Muslims and cautioned Moore against issuing unverified statements that could heighten ethnic or religious tensions at a sensitive time when security agencies are working to rescue the girls.

He stressed that the Maga community falls under the Zuru Emirate, a region known for longstanding religious harmony, and questioned why comments were made that could cast Nigeria in a negative light.
