Unprecedentedly it arrived
It obliviously entered our country
An Italian brought it we shout
The gateway of Lagos it passed

We host it unwittingly for months
We nurture it to die but grow
spending billions without a cure
Lives have been going save no day

It enters countries via leaders  Dignitaries and masses saved not
It ravages the globe without fear
An invisible virus that kills visible

It travels from North to South
East to West, pay tribute to heads
Leaders are shivering for it sword
Distancing now becomes a solution

Face mask and sanitizer, the savers
Shaking and hugging become anal
Isolation centers become a haven
And the economy is going into extinction

It halts the globe without a gun
The powerful nations bow for it
It sends the world to a trip of vaccine
Till now none has gotten one

Prayers to the foremost victims
Sound health for the infectors
Preventive for the healthy ones
To leave our country we all pray
