Lil Nas X Faces Felony Charges After Nude Incident in Los Angeles

Rapper Lil Nas X has been hit with four felony charges following a bizarre naked stroll through Los Angeles that ended with an altercation involving police.
The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Montero Hill, was arrested last week after allegedly stripping completely nude and walking along a major street in the Studio City area. According to police, officers responded to reports of a naked man walking through the neighborhood.
“There was a nude man walking in the street,” a police spokesperson told AFP. “Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers. He was taken into custody and taken to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer.”
Court records reviewed Monday confirm that Hill has been charged with three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.
Initial video footage that surfaced online showed the “Old Town Road” star wearing white underwear and cowboy boots while strutting and engaging playfully with onlookers. However, newly obtained footage released by TMZ revealed the rapper was, at one point, fully nude.
The incident quickly went viral, with social media flooded by clips of the flamboyant performer engaging with passersby. In the footage, Hill can be heard saying:
“Don’t be late to the party tonight,” though it remains unclear what event he was referring to, as the clip appeared to be filmed just before dawn.
At another point, he addressed the person filming from inside a car:
“I wanna throw it far away so you never see it again. I don’t like phones.”
He continued, wagging his finger theatrically:
“Didn’t I tell you to put the phone down? Uh-oh, somebody’s gonna have to pay for that.”
Lil Nas X has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident or the charges.
