Makinde Names Babatunde as New SSG in Oyo State Cabinet Reshuffle
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State appoints Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government, replaces Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, and announces key cabinet changes including new roles for Seun Ashamu, Ademola Aderinto, and Abiodun Adedoja.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has dismissed Professor Olanike Adeyemo from her role as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) with immediate effect.
A statement released on Monday in Ibadan by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, confirmed that Professor Musibau Babatunde has been appointed as the new SSG.
The statement also noted changes in other key positions: Mr. Seun Ashamu has been redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
“Also, the governor announced his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. He will consequently be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening,” the statement added.
In addition, Mr. Abiodun Adedoja was appointed as Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Akanmu assumes the role of Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
