Meet Bauchi Lawmaker Who Stays In Touch With His Constituents -By Babangida Mohammed

It has been universally acknowledged that for good governance to be achieved, there must be a vibrant legislature. By the same token, serviceable legislator is one who is affable and approachable. To say the facts, People feel comfortable coming and talking to their representatives so that they can channels their complaints directly with the hopes and aspirations that their problems will be addressed.  In this way, I can say Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo ( Minority Leader) and Member representing Chiroma Constituency, Misau in Bauchi State House of Assembly is a vibrant and serviceable lawmaker considering the level of braveness he showed in delivering people mandate and service to humanity, and  good relationships he maintained with the people of his Constituency.

I remember the day I was privileged to meet with Minority Leader, If my memory serve me well, it was during a courtesy visit paid to honorable alongside my colleagues at our community development association. I was perplexed and excited when I see this brave lawmaker attending people of his Constituency under tree-shade at his residence in Misau.

The most impressive thing about him is that, people of his Constituency storm out of the blocks with bundles of requests that are community service in nature such as mosque renovation/and or construction,dowry aid, request for power generators , school fees, roof zincs, business capital, sickness, disability, weeding and naming ceremony, and many kinded. Interestingly, this popularist lawmaker is Welcoming them with his most often used word (Sannunku da zuwa) and receiving those requests in the most kindly and conversing with this people  in a free and friendly manner.

Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo is open – minded to new people, providing an inviting aura that is warm and comforting, intuitively tune into the feelings and needs of the community. He is such a grassroots politician whose the  present society are in dire needs of. He spends many days in a week, usually Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday listening to the people of his Constituency and assisted them in giving out  community development services and charitable works.

I can attest from my short encounter with Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo that he is dedicated, pro – masses, creative, humble and simple down to earth. I have been following his remarkable contributions that are obviously visible, not only in his Constituency, but also across Misau Local Government and bauchi state as a whole. The testimony of his life touching projects and hope restoration gesture are further indication that he is committed to serving humanity to the very best of his ability.
