Mind Restructuring: Characteristics Of Eagle, Lion Heart And Sound Mind -By Richard Odusanya

Eagle symbolizes; loyalty, devotion, freedom, TRUTH, honor, divinity, hope, foresight and psychic revelation. Eagles have an amazing eyesight and can detect his prey from distant of two miles; eagles fly alone at a very high altitude; eagles soar the highest above the clouds than any other birds- eagles love the storm- eagles rejuvenate. Whereas the Lion is a well-muscled cat with a long body, large head, short legs and a fearless heart. An outstanding appearance with a very high propensity. Not alone does the lion have good sense, he has great mind. Fearlessness and Courageous attributes.

As we continue to explore the potentials for the attainment of grace along the lines, on the way forward with the subject of cognitive development of “Mind Restructuring” permit me to use relevant examples of some of my life experiences. Starting with my ‘Kaduna boy’ expedition; at a very tender age, shortly after the civil war, in particular, during the holidays, I remember traveling from the Kaduna junction train station by rail to Ibadan, and on several occasions, I enjoyed the privilege of being escorted to the station by two of my elder cousins, Michael Ojabo and Dan Onuh, both of them in their late sixties now, fantastic personalities.

On arrival of the train at the station, my first observation, is the dedicated reserved coaches meant for the Nigeria military school (NMS), students; out of inquisitiveness, and admiration for national calls, I will go on and insist that my place is in the midst of the NMS students; I was actually not permitted to have my way, to mingle with the smartly dressed upcoming military officers, but my insistence and love for such privilege and duty conscious, did not go unnoticed by one of my favorite elder cousin, Dan Onuh, and at a certain time in life, he nick named me “Lion Heart”

Fast forward many years, thereafter, I began to have privileges and duty calls. First, it was with one of our finest military General, in person of Lt-Gen Muhammadu Inuwa Wushishi RTD, at the rotary club Kaduna-kawo, I was at a time the secretary of the club, when he was the president. So many things rubbed off on me that prepared one for further engagements in life; he was a disciplinarian, stickler for excellence and a great mind.

Thereafter, as I begin to find myself in some positions of public trust, the picture of Muhammadu Inuwa Wushishi was vivid on my mind; a man of impeccable character; a man who do not indulge in frivolity; a man who believes in fairness; a man who do not give undue advantage even to his off-springs. I remembered that the eldest daughter started working in the bank as a teller with masters degree. In my quest for such attributes, I then began to study the attributes of the Eagle and Lion, it encourages, enriched and widened my horizon.

With the aforementioned, I realized that, I have to be unique in my own world, I then began to navigate through the part of unique characteristics. I also learned the ability to stand on my own, with the consciousness of self-differentiation, and cultivate the ability to live without being loved or external approval which is the most important empowering skill anyone can possess. It literally means freedom forever. That is not to say that one should not enjoy love when love is healthy, but to be able to be just as happy with, or without love is true power. It’s really the only power on this Earth, aside from love itself. This is without prejudice to those who have it cut out for them all through the journey of life. Again the mind is critical to success in all ramifications.

As the journey progresses for me in life, for certain reasons and some issues of providence; I may have been misunderstood; I may have not impressed many people; I may have step on toes; I may not have practically arrived at destination, but I am not off the track. This is part of the essence of the Mind Restructuring. DRY BONES SHALL RISE AGAIN.
