MP set to support Students with N10,000 grant monthly

Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya said since his election six years ago through AMG Educational Support Programme each year provided financial assistance to students to settle tuition fees, paid examination fees for final year Senior Secondary School Students seat for either NECO or WAEC examination as well as purchasing and distributes hundreds of forms for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but this particular program is unique.

The Member Representing Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi in the House of Representatives Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya has reiterates his efforts toward supporting students of higher institutions in the constituents by introducing financial monthly grant to higher institutions especially students pursue National Certificate of Education and related discipline.

According to him that 50 deserving students across the three local government area will be selects as beneficiaries of AMG Educational Support Programme of N10,000 grant monthly.

This was made this known in a press release issue to media outlets after the lawmaker held quarterly meeting with Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi APC caucus and other stakeholders in his Kano office and signed by Senior Legislative Assistant Mr Ibrahim Umar in Kano.

Adding that a standing committee of seven seasoned educational members will soon be inaugurate to selection deserving students across the Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi local government areas saying yearly the financial implications of the program will stand at N18 Million and translating to N1.5 million each month.

Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya added that within two year of 9th National Assembly, I had able to constructs three block of classroom in each of the 30 wards of the constituency. constructions Divisional Police Office in Gaya town, providing motorize borehole with over head water tanks at various wards, hundreds of solar powered streetlights across Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi local government areas.
