Nigeria.

A great nation with inexplicably talented people. A giant that still searches for direction. A Democratic Nation by tag pleading to enjoy the people-driven government in reality. A warrior that suffers the Achilles heel of diversity in Unity. We celebrate you today.

The best we do as citizens is to be responsible and accountable in and from our little corners to you. Though the models at the pinnacle have failed us, we pray not to be distracted in building you up in the best way we can.

Let me not be a sidelined, onlooking, bamboozled, hoodwinked or lost citizen even when it seems you are staggering. Let me not take sides with the foolish in destroying this nascent ray of democracy. Let me not serve you with intents driven by my belly instead of love. Let me be a builder, an active compatriot, a practicer of great ideals, a model for young Nigerians, an epitome of character, a voice strong enough to speak the truth on your issues.

You are our dear country and we love you. Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria.
