Nigerian Youths Of Today -By Abubakar Muhammad Usman

As a youth, like you, I write this as a formal advice. It has been itching my pen so long ago, we have to stand against any reluctance, to become what our parents dream for us to, to become what we said in our national anthem, not to let our national dreams reduce to dust. We have to assure the name we have been calling as the backbone of our society.

Nigerian youths, are the hope of any citizen that they are the once whom our dreams of changes would come through them. But, unfortunately, many youths have been letting this hope sinking in vain!

Youths, nowadays, forget their importance of becoming the backbone of their society! Instead of seeking knowledge to bring whatever the change for the benefit and betterment of their country. They, youths, prefer becoming the boyfriend of many girls writing letters to them instead of writing Nigerian problems and solutions, fighting on the streets for the candidates instead of carving themselves to be voted for, smoking weeds, cigarettes and syrups instead of hugging books to become a leader of tomorrow, and, youths prefer stealing, robbery and raping instead of business, farming and many hand-skills acquisitions. What a barren tomorrow! A country where any repugnant acts are committed by the youths!
