North Central Is Ripe For Vice-presidential Slot Come 2023 -By Shariff M.M Al-hassan

It is a fact that, the three vice-president produced by the PDP and the only President produced so far by the APC all came from the northeastern and northwestern corridors. So also the only President produced by the APC comes from the North-Western corridor.

NORTH CENTRAL

Notwithstanding the political division in the Northern corridor. North is North and the most dominate political parties today in Nigeria are the APC and PDP. PDP during her hey days controlled power for almost 16 years with three Presidents and two vice-president of Northern extractions. While APC since 2015 when it clutched power has produced only one President so far.

It is a fact that, the three vice-president produced by the PDP and the only President produced so far by the APC all came from the northeastern and northwestern corridors. So also the only President produced by the APC comes from the North-Western corridor.

However, since the coming of this dispensation in 1999 to date the North central corridor has never produced either the vice-president/s or the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Therefore, for fairness and to promote the feeling of oneness, may I call on the two political parties and indeed others to allow vice-president to come this time around from the North central corridor.

If any of these political parties concede to this move, it will improve the fortunes of that political party in 2023 general elections. This is just my thought.
