Ogun APC Suspends Senator Gbenga Daniel, Hon. Kunle Folarin Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended former governor and current Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, along with Hon. Kunle Folarin, over allegations of anti-party conduct.

The suspension was confirmed in a statement issued by the APC State Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, and made available to journalists in Abeokuta.

According to the statement, both politicians were suspended by their respective party wards—Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government—after they failed to appear before disciplinary committees set up to investigate petitions against them.

“In exercise of its powers, the State Working Committee of the APC in Ogun State affirms the suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin by their respective wards,” the statement read.

The State Working Committee, chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi, reviewed and adopted the findings of the ward-level disciplinary panels during its meeting held on August 19.

The party emphasized that the suspension was carried out in line with the party’s constitution and internal procedures, noting that it is committed to maintaining discipline and order within its ranks.

The statement added that the suspensions remain in effect pending further review and the conclusion of ongoing internal processes.
