Okezie Ikpeazu Exposes A Part Of How He Is Looting Abia State -By Great Imo Jonathan
Just imagine the kind of monthly revenue that is being generated from these markets. If you add that to taxes being paid by corporate businesses, tax deductible at source from the civil service pay roll (across the local governments and state) plus mining activities tax, it is running into billions of naira.
In an attempt to impress and deceive Ndi Abia to believe that he is working, the governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has exposed himself and the corruption going on in his government.
Now read what he said:
“Why are we doing FAULKS road? …..We are doing FAULKS road because it leads to ARIARIA. Why are we doing SAMEK?….Because samek evacuates people from Ariaria.
With over 100,000 shops in Ariaria, you can’t ignore the economy of that cluster.”
Now let’s forget the lies being told about road construction in Aba. It is a cheap propaganda. But imagine over one hundred thousand (100,000) shops in Ariara market alone.
So there are over one hundred thousand (100,000) shops in Ariaria alone and Okezie Ikpeazu is deceiving Ndi Abia to believe that the state does not have money? There are no infrastructures and common salaries he cannot pay.
If Ariaria alone according to the governor has over one hundred thousand shops, you can imagine what we have in other big markets across Abia. From Umuahia Afara to Timber market, to isi gate and to all the 17 local government areas in the state there are other big markets located everywhere. There is a possibility that we have up to four hundred thousand (400,000) shops.
Just imagine the kind of monthly revenue that is being generated from these markets. If you add that to taxes being paid by corporate businesses, tax deductible at source from the civil service pay roll (across the local governments and state) plus mining activities tax, it is running into billions of naira.
You can see that Abia State is naturally rich and can develop without federal allocations.
With this revelation, one can imagine the magnitude of stealing that is going on in Abia State. The internally generated revenue of the state is obviously being pocketed by the governor and his cronies.
Enough of this nonsense, Abia State cannot remain in this bondage.
We must send these guys packing IN 2019.
Great Imo Jonathan
