Okuama killings: Drop Tompolo’s Tantita out of terror attack on soldiers – Akpodoro

Mayor Akpodoro argued that, rather than trying to drag Tompolo and his firm into such ugly development in that area, concerns should be on how to support TSSNL to rid the Western axis of the Nigerian waters of oil thieves who he sees as conflict entrepreneurs seek to compromise security to get back at the security firm.

The Mayor of Urhoboland, Eshanekpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro who is also a highly respected stakeholder in the Niger Delta region has called on well-meaning Nigerians to discountenance what he described as cheap blackmail from disgruntled elements, agents of corruption and foot-soldiers of oil thieves within and outside the Niger Delta region who he said are bent on dragging Tantita Security Services Nig LTD, TSSNL, owned and managed by Chief Government Ekpemukpolo a.k.a Tompolo into the recent crisis arising from the brutal killing of soldiers in Okuama community recently.

Akpodoro stated this in Abuja, Sunday, on account of the insinuations from some quarters that Tompolo was part of the causes of the bloody attacks on communities by soldiers who they claimed attacked Okuama at the behest of the Chief Executive of TSSNL.

Mayor Akpodoro said, it is a general knowledge that some persons have been in the trenches against TSSNL for reasons of envy and jealousy before now and same forces are trying assiduously to ensure that Tompolo’s name is mentioned in the self afflicted malady that befell those who have no value for human lives.

The voices of dissensions being heard are liken to that of “voice of Esau and hand of Jacob” noting that, “the voices alluding involvement to TSSNL are paid noisemakers” who intends to make sure that they taint the operations of the TSSN in security surveillance contract being executed to drive home their plan of whittling down the firm’s popularity.

“We are aware that those who hate the achievements of Tompolo’s TSSNL in the security of our oil wealth are at work dissipating energies on casting a slur on the person of Chief Ekpemukpolo and his firm.

‘From their vainful efforts, one can deduce that corruption is crying bitterly, particularly that section of the military that is engaged in unhealthy rivalry with TSSNL. Their wish is for Tompolo to fail, their plan is to bring his security firm to disrepute, oil thieves are trying all they could to ensure that they paint the surveillance and security operations of the TSSNL block for reasons of envy and conflict of interests.

“TSSNL is embarrassing the psyche of oil thieves who will stop at nothing to pull down Tompolo, and this is why they are trying hard to change the narratives to suit their desired evil. I have said and would say it again that the best the Mele Kyari’s National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL management has achieved in terms of the security of national wealth particularly in the oil industry is the engagement of TSSNL in securing the nation’s oil wealth.” His Excellency stated, adding that, while Tompolo busy himself with the progress of his contract and how best to achieve success, his transducers are busy plotting to pull him down.

The crisis along the Forcados River is clearly an act of terror arising from communal feud between two settlements that was taken advantage of by militants who feast on anarchy, His Excellency said, stressing that unfortunately, this time, they bite more than they could chew.

Akpodoro, who is also a notable ex-militant leader, said investigating authorities should be allowed to do their job with clinical efficiency devoid of the ranting of rabblerousers, whose desire is to see TSSNL dragged into such mess.

He called on the management of TSSNL to remain undaunted in its national assignment saying that, Nigerians are behind the firm who he said have been able to decimate oil theft to a reasonable level with the potentials of exterminating them if supported by the FG. “FG should increase the contract sum of the TSSNL for effective handling of the pipeline security surveillance in the operational areas of TSSNL.”
