According to former two-weight champion David Haye, Anthony Joshua is the only one with the physical tools to knock Tyson Fury out.

The pair is set to meet in a £75m Battle of Britain world heavyweight showdown in Cardiff on December 3 with Fury’s WBC title on the line.

Haye believes the British Nigerian can inflict Fury’s first professional defeat among everyone else in the heavyweight division.

The Brit said, “If anyone has the physical tools to beat Fury, the No.1 monster in the heavyweight division, then it is AJ.

“Many years ago, Fury and Joshua sparred and AJ got the better of him.

“If AJ can be strong, fast and aggressive against Fury, then he has a chance of surprising everyone.”

That 2010 session at Joshua’s Finchley club saw the Watford novice shake Fury with an upper cut during a sparring session.

Now Joshua, 32, is desperate to take the Gypsy King’s WBC crown after failing to regain his WBA, IBF and WBO belts in his rematch defeat to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk last month.

“The world will have him as the underdog but for the first time ever the pressure will be totally off him and all on Fury,” Haye added.

The boxing world is now waiting for an agreement from Joshua’s team after they had been sent a contract by Fury’s team.

Promoter Frank Warren revealed in his column for the Star, “The contracts have been sent to Anthony Joshua’s team.

“Now we wait for them to go through them and sign so we can get one of British boxing’s biggest events on.

“All our side is on board for this fight. Tyson Fury is eager for it as he showed last week by calling out his fellow Brit.”

With Fury and Joshua hard at work in the gym, time is running out for the duo to sign a deal for a fight.

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, Fight Night host Gareth Davies said he had a chat with Fury’s sparring partner Joseph Parker who revealed the WBC champion was already at camp for a potential “Battle of Britain” with Joshua.

“What we heard from Joseph Parker is that Tyson Fury is in camp now and training hard,” Davies told talkSPORT.

“Even though we haven’t had that announcement yet as to whether that final deal on the fight with Joshua has been signed for December 3 in Cardiff.

“I’m skeptical at this point, I’m afraid,” Davies added. “They need to get this fight over quickly, because we’re only a few months away.”
