It is a promise that knowledge will soon depart this life. Not that there won’t be books, but the demise of the scholars will illustrate its inexistence.

Not quite long Kwara lost her Chief of Staff, here is another loss of an iconic lawyer in Nigeria. His name is a symbol in the North, knowledge in the South, and the foundation of trust in the West and East of the country.

It is true that death comes unnoticed and it takes life at its appointed time without respite. The inevitability of death is a great sign of the ephemerality of life. If generosity can dither death, AGF would not have died but continue living.

Every human being always prays for long life and prosperity but in actual sense, only a few live it. For one to have grown old, definitely such has won the favour of God. Alhaji Abdulrazaq, AGF won the favour of God for living and died at the age of 93 which is rare in this time of ours.

The late first lawyer from Northern Nigeria, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Abdulrazaq lived and served this country with his best ability and prosperity. He will be sorely missed. He did his best in the service of our people in Kwara State and Nigeria as a lawyer, politician, diplomat.

The death of Abdulrazaq, SAN is a great loss, not only for the Kwarans but also for the entire country. This is a painful exit of an uncommon patriot, an iconic lawyer, and a role model who had contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of our dear nation for several decades.

Just of recent, Nigeria lost her first younger female helicopter combatant, here is now the death of the first lawyer and AGF in Nigeria. What we lost this time is more than just an elder statesman, we have lost a trailblazer and symbol of professional excellence who brought much honors and recognitions to our State, Kwara City, Ilorin, and Nigeria generally.

Mutawali of Ilorin and Tafidu of Zazzuzi have been touched by the cold hand of death. Though death is unavoidable and it is certain that every soul shall taste it. Despite this, the death of AGF beckons bleeding of eyes and watering of hearts.

AGF came, saw, and conquered. He was a man of many firsts; the first lawyer from Northern Nigeria and the first learned silk to emerge from the same region, among other achievements. Ilorin’s modern history is not complete without his name.
