PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, Others for Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Peoples Democratic Party has expelled Nyesom Wike, Ayo Fayose, Samuel Anyanwu, and other senior officials for alleged anti-party activities during its national convention in Ibadan. Chief Bode George led the motion, backed unanimously by party delegates.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday announced the expulsion of several high-profile members, including former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; the party’s factional National Chairman, Samuel Anyanwu; and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was taken during the PDP National Convention currently underway in Ibadan. The motion for their expulsion was moved by PDP founding member Chief Bode George and received unanimous support from party delegates. Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, seconded the motion.

Also affected by the expulsion are the party’s National Legal Adviser, Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN), Umar Bature, AbdulRahman Mohammed, Mao Chuambuwa, George Turner, Austin Nwachukwu, Abraham Ammah, and Dan Orbih.
