The National Working Committee, Board of Trustees, the standard-bearer Atiku Abubakar, and all of the Peoples Democratic Party will jointly work to produce a running mate for the presidential candidate of the party, the PDP BoT chairman, Walid Jibrin, has said.

Atiku won the PDP presidential ticket for the 2023 general election during the party’s special convention held at the weekend.

Jibrin revealed this via a statement, on Monday, saying Atiku’s victory as the flagbearer in the 2023 presidential contest is a victory for the party as it portends success for the nation.

The statement read in part: “The BoT also congratulates Sen. David Mark and the whole of his committee for organising one of the best elective National conventions after the Port-Harcourt convention chaired by Governor (Ifeanyi) Okowa of Delta State in 2018.”

He called on all party faithful to unite and work together for the progress of the presidential candidate to win the 2023 presidential election to liberate the country from the challenges of the present administration.

He further stated, “Finally, the BoT will assist the party and surely the Waziri Adamawa himself to come out with a very acceptable Vice President from southern Nigeria.”
