Rice smuggling at seme border
I am not an economist but I buy and sell, I know their is more value in selling and buying, I don’t know the voodoo in banning importation and exporting nothing, the voodoo in closing borders on goods and opening border for everyone across the world through our Visa on arrival project.
I don’t really know why a man who consume too much Tuwo Zafi and Kankandoro will ban rice and tell us to look for alternatives. That’s not what I want to say, before I digress, do you know the borders in the north are wide open and imported rice are being smuggled in abundance through the porous borders in the north. Well, Benin republic is still importing and serving the whole west africa, Chad and cameroon has now become a dumping ground with many rice factory springing up, guess what, 80% of those rice are finding their way into the north!
Back to my point, how do we explain it that we are open to welcome everyone abroad but not open to welcome goods from abroad, we are open to receive money from abroad but not commodities we do not have. Lastly, we are having enough entry of migrants into the country from other countries in the last 6 month, and according to data obtain from the Nigerian custom service, there is an 80% increase of people into Nigeria from the north, not to talk of illegal routes. It is called invasion. We have low production of everything, no light, no jobs and what do you think the Invaders will do? They will suck the blood, eat the flesh of their host to survive.
