International law is a set of rules and regulations, set of principles and norms that govern the relationships and interactions between states. It is a body of law that addresses many aspects of international relations, including trade, human rights, armed disputes or conflicts, environmental protection etc.

However, there are several principles that are recognized the basis of international law

Sovereign Equality: In the eyes of Law, All are equal before the law. According to the international law, States are considered equal in the basis of their legal status and have the right to ruling themselves without conflicts and interference from other states. This principle is enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

Non-Intervention: Sovereignty is supreme. All States should respect the sovereignty and land integrity of other states and should not interfere in their internal decisions and affairs. This principle aims to maintain stability between states.

Peaceful Settlement of Disputes: States have to resolve their conflicts and disputes through peaceful means, such as negotiation and mediation rather than resorting to force.

Pacta Sunt Servanda (Agreements Must Be Kept): States have to fulfill their treaty obligations in good beliefs. This principle emphasizes the binding nature of treaties and the significance of compliance with international agreements.

Customary International Law: Customary international law targets to the general practices and customs accepted as legal norms by the international states.

Universal Jurisdiction: Genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity are considered the violence of law against all international states. This principle allows states to exercise jurisdiction over people accused of such crimes, even if they were committed outside the land of the state.

Human Rights: The protection of human rights are fundamental principles of international law. Many international treaties and declarations, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are establish to the basic rights and freedoms for all human being who belong to this earth.

These principles contribute to the development of international law. It is important to note that the body of international law is extensive and covers a wide range of legal principles.
