Raffaele Palladino Named New Atalanta Head Coach on Three-Year Deal
Atalanta have named Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach on a contract until June 2027, following the dismissal of Ivan Juric after a poor run of results. The 41-year-old Italian aims to revive Atalanta’s Serie A form with his attacking philosophy and focus on youth development.
Atalanta have officially appointed Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach on a contract running until June 2027, the club announced on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old Italian replaces Ivan Juric, who was dismissed less than 24 hours earlier following a disappointing run of results. Juric’s departure came after Atalanta’s 3–0 home defeat to newly-promoted Sassuolo, a loss that left club officials frustrated just 11 matches into the 2025/26 Serie A season.
Palladino’s arrival, first reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, marks a fresh chapter for La Dea. Known for his progressive attacking philosophy and focus on youth development, the former Fiorentina coach earned widespread respect despite his tenure in Florence ending amid internal disagreements.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi expressed confidence in the club’s new direction, praising Palladino’s “vision, energy, and commitment to long-term growth.”
Palladino’s first task will be to stabilize Atalanta’s domestic form while balancing their European commitments. He is expected to lead his first training session later this week as preparations begin for the club’s upcoming league fixture.
