It was indeed scary seeing it all over the media as everyday happenings, juvenile raped and killed, babies raped, teenagers gang-raped, and even the old was not an exception.

As bad as it looks, it’s imperative to know that cases like this statistically happens between people of close contact or sometimes a relative for that matter.

Although in some rare circumstances it does happen with strange and unrelated people which in such cases were mostly related to as a psychological disorder by the hooligans.

People come up with a lot of different perspectives as to why these vices do happen in our today’s society and how to remedy the situation. But I have to say it that, most people turn out to look at one way of the story and give it a false narrative.

Of course, there is no denying that men that do go after small girls, be it a family member or an unknown stranger is madness and deserve to be served with the biggest punishment possible by the law.

Let’s look at the matured and teenagers that falls victims of such cases, Why does it happen? How did they manage to do the act? Most girls in this category that fall victim to rape vices were the cause of the issue. Let’s not even be looking at dressing mode and all of the sort. These girls mostly get trapt into this because they take themselves to the person or invited the person themselves into their homes.

I will tell you why, If you have been following the cases through the media or have the opportunity to discuss with the victims you will understand that they use to be close with the men as a friend, family, or boyfriend.

I know of these cases where the boy invited the victim to accompany him to his house even though she claimed that it hadn’t happened as she shouted but why on earth will you as a woman answer an invitation of a man to his house and expect nothing to happen. Don’t he have male friends that can accompany him? As a man and woman, why will you be in isolation with a man that you don’t want to sleep with? Why should you trust your life with a man you mate on the street? Why do you have to follow the bad boys?

There is this other case where the girl invited the guy to their house and was open up to him, romancing her all over but she claimed to have told him not to go further, but he ended up overpowering her by the window frame and that’s how she was deflowed by the boy that day, and the worst thing is that she was never having any bad feeling about it on that issue and still continue being with the man. When I asked why didn’t she shout, she answered, she invited him and if she shouted the people in the compound will look at her in a bad way. Tell me is that the kind of people that you expect to be saved?

Some might say what of other cases that the victims use to get killed. They get killed because they use to be close to the person(s) and to cover their track they did what they do. But how does it happen that way, the girls may be a friend that the boy(s) use to have their eyes on, probably because of her dressing mostly, and have perhaps asked her out but she was somehow rude to them and so because of the frustration and anger, they seek vengeance by rape but afterward, they had fear for them being exposed and so the death.

Going over it again, some may say if she dresses hot or turns them down, must they had sex with everything they see on the street? The answer to that is, vices like that don’t happen in a day, it was always a plan. She may use to take her self to them exposing her body and intimidating them by way of seduction. Why must you walk alone without a fellow female friend in such dangerous routes, why must you constantly follow the areas of the bad boys or mingle among them.

Prosecuting the rapist is one way of dealing with these bad acts but that alone will not prevent future occurrences. To eliminate these we need to alongside the prosecution also consider the following.

Parent at homes should try as much as possible to be teaching their children good morals of decent dressing, controlling their tongues off seductive languages, and above all teach them to know that as a girl you don’t need to befriend with the boys for your life to be better, it will even be much better without them in your life. Teach them to be close to the only person they truly love or feel like spending the rest of her life with and before doing that she should bring the boy or the man to them first before going close to him, and if he resisted the effort, she should report his matter to her family and let them be on the known of the issue. That’s for the part of the girls.

For the part of the government, there should be a law that will restrain and declare sex between people not living under the same roof as illegal and punishable just as passed in the UK’s parliament. The government should put laws on uncompleted buildings and gatherings at especially “the ghetto areas”. The government should devise mediums to keep the youth busy with jobs, that will take away their minds on all the bad thoughts and vices, plus it will keep them fully occupied. The government should devise laws on drug abuse, abusers, and the sellers as mostly it triggers the influence to such vices.

The last and so far the best way to reduce these infamous social vices yet most controversial but effective was to allow settlement of sex workers that will be catering for the needs of those unstable men across the country. At least in every state, that way the girls on the streets, in schools, in churches, and in their homes will be safe off rape and sexual assault.
