Regina Daniels’ Brother Alleges Domestic Abuse, Warns Ned Nwoko Will Be Held Responsible if Anything Happens to His Siblings
Lawrence Daniels, brother to Nollywood star Regina Daniels, accuses Senator Ned Nwoko of assault and political intimidation, warning he’ll be held accountable if harm comes to any of his siblings.
The family dispute between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, escalated on Monday night after the actress’s elder brother, Lawrence Daniels, accused the lawmaker of domestic abuse and hypocrisy in a series of explosive Instagram posts.
In his lengthy social media outburst, Lawrence alleged that the Delta North senator had privately admitted to slapping Regina “twice,” an act Nwoko allegedly justified as a form of correction.
“You dey confirm to me say I slapped her twice, which any husband would do to correct his wife,” Lawrence wrote. “But went on Channels to say I’ve never hit any woman. How, bro, how?”
He further claimed that Nwoko was using his political power to intimidate Regina’s family, alleging that their brother, Sammy Daniels, was being detained and assaulted by police officers at Ogombo Police Station, Lekki-Ajah.
“Police beating Sammy currently at Ogombo Police Station! This media go scatter because everyone should be ready to face the consequences of their actions. If anything happens to any of my siblings, hold Ned Nwoko responsible!” he posted.
Lawrence, who described himself as a “preacher of peace,” said he had tried to resolve the family conflict privately but decided to speak out after recent developments.
“She [Regina] said no, you vex go arrest her sibling. We should clap for you?” he wrote.
He went on to label Nwoko a “narcissist”, accusing him of leveraging his political influence to silence dissent within the family. Lawrence also warned that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) might mobilize a protest at the senator’s residence if the matter was not addressed.
The online confrontation has sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians calling for a transparent investigation into the allegations of domestic abuse and intimidation.
The social media uproar comes just days after reports surfaced that Senator Nwoko had allegedly filed a police petition leading to Sammy Daniels’ arrest over claims of theft and defamation.
Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, for comments on the alleged arrest were unsuccessful, as messages sent to his line went unanswered at the time of filing this report.
As of press time, Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, had not issued any official response to the latest allegations.
