Reply To Femi Adesina: They Should let us breathe, Presidential Treason -By Micheal A. Adeniyi

“The president had won and triumphed on many fronts, he did well in many other areas apart from Security.” This is the summary of Femi Adesina’s ‘They should let us breathe” letter to Nigerians.
Even with fresh oxygen, the deadness of the presidency will never be resuscitated. Seems Femi Adesina had zero idea about the fact that security is the main manifesto-obligation that had always been a fundamental and enforced upon any leader by the constitution, the protection of every Nigerian and the Nigerian territories. In fact that was what each president swear to on their swearing-in ceremony. That’s a bond that if not kept must warrant automatic resignation.
The security architecture is not under any other individual but the president and the failure is automatically the failure of the president. If it is to witch-hunt us with DSS the power of security and potential threat containment belong to the President, but when it is time to fight internal and external aggression you ask people to pray to God, even after praying to God to give them a president and even after going out to vote in a president who swore to defend them? It is shameful to read your gibberish.
Few weeks ago your Colleague Garba Shehu spoke about how some political element and activist are planning to overthrow Buhari’s government, he even tagged peaceful protesters coupist and it’s laughable because voters of yesterday are coupist of today. That meant the power no longer belong to the people but some demigod. It’s laughable.
Presidential Treason
Four weeks ago, the information minister had come out to explain to Nigerians about why the presidency led by President Buhari cannot arrest and prosecute terrorist and kidnappers, the Minister had argued that terrorism, kidnapping and banditry are state crimes not federal. Is that not funny? A state crime without state police? This sure meant there is provision for state policing in the constitution. The question you would have asked is why a Federal government with no power to arrest terrorist is freeing terrorist in the guise of repentance program.
Also, the Minister For Just-hiss has come out to say governors from the South cannot ban open grazing. He forgot few governors created Sharia law in Nigeria. He forgot Alcohol was taken in every Nigerian state before the Northern governors banned it.
He claimed cattle’s are important but he could only compare it with spare parts as if we don’t know the several part of a cow. He would have compares cows with cars since they share road with cars. Suya to spare parts would have been a better comparison. Then he would have called for ban of cars in the North. Why wouldn’t he call for ban of spare part when he changes new cars yearly. As usual he would only come up with argument that will suffer our Northerners.
