Revisited: 10 Things That Will Happen In The Animal Kingdom Come 2023 -By Chima Christian
Today we are warning Nigerians about the Middle Belt and the upcoming census exercise. By the way, I have refrained from publicly sharing some of our continued public policy advocacy work on the census. We are hoping that the stakeholders with whom we have been privately engaging will listen to wise counsel. If it comes to that, we may have to shout to the Nigerian public as a last resort.

In October 2022, I shared, by the mercies of the Almighty, a satirical content titled: 10 THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE ANIMAL KINGDOM COME 2023. That material put a wedge between me and a lot of friends and associates. They didn’t understand why I had to say such things publicly. As a matter of fact, my views then were considered strange, and implausible.
I took the hits. They were unpleasant, but God gifted me the stamina to bear the consequences of speaking my truth.
Of the ten things we said will happen, eight of them has happened exactly the way we said they will happen. We got one fundamentally wrong though. The last one will be proved either right or wrong in 2027.
It broke my heart when I ran into the video I just shared with you. It is a direct fulfilment of the last thing we said will happen in 2023. Yet, it broke my heart that we didn’t stop it from happening.
When we speak from informed position, as we do from time to time, our goal is not to be proved right. No, I don’t want to be right. I just want things to turn out right! But when you warn the actors, and they fail to listen, the best one could do is to do all that is in his powers to influence outcomes. Once I give my very best in the pursuit of any outcome, and I’m sure that what I gave is my very best, I usually go to sleep on such issues. As I have long gone to sleep on 2023.
