River Park Estate: Ogunmuyiwa Denies Ghanaian Ownership, Says He Founded JonahCapital Nigeria
Dr. Adeniran Ogunmuyiwa has refuted FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s claim that River Park Estate belongs to Ghanaian businessman Sam Jonah. He insists JonahCapital Nigeria, founded in 2006 with majority Nigerian ownership, is behind the Abuja estate.
Nigerian property investor, Dr. Adeniran Ogunmuyiwa, has dismissed claims that River Park Estate in Abuja belongs to Ghanaian businessman Sam Jonah, clarifying that he is the founder of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited, the company behind the estate.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ogunmuyiwa reacted to comments attributed to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who suggested that the estate was owned by Ghanaian investors through JonahCapital.
According to him, JonahCapital Nigeria Limited was duly incorporated in 2006 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC Reg. No. 669754) through the law firm of L.D. Shwarkuka & Associates, with himself and his wife holding 60 percent majority shares.
He explained that the current ownership dispute surrounding River Park Estate arose from disagreements with foreign partners over shareholding adjustments made in 2024, which he claimed disadvantaged Nigerian stakeholders.
“While we are not concerned about the claims being made, Nigerians can verify the facts in the police report of June 27, 2025,” Ogunmuyiwa stated, adding that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has already initiated legal steps to clarify ownership of the estate.
He further urged Nigerians to remain patient and allow the courts to determine the matter, stressing that the case is actively before the judiciary.
