Road to Qatar: France, Brazil, Spain and Others Qualify for 2022 World Cup -By Shereefdeen Sawe

Brazil became the first South American team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after beating Colombia 1-0. They maintain the record of being the first nation to make it to every World Cup finals.

The road to the 2022 Qatar World Cup is clear for some teams as they have already booked their spot in the tournament.

With the competition scheduled to commence by November 2022, the qualification stages continue and get tougher, however, here are the names of teams that have qualified for the 2022 World Cup so far.

The Asian side Qatar became the first nation to qualify for the World Cup finals, having been the host of the tournament, an automatic spot was booked for them. This would be the first appearance of the nation in the World Cup finals in their history.

Germany is the first team that qualified for the 2022 World Cup from the qualification stage, after defeating North Macedonia in October 2021 and emerged as the leader of Ground J.

Denmark will also have their flags flying in Qatar following a 1-0 victory over Austria in October. The European side was the winner of Group F.

Brazil became the first South American team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after beating Colombia 1-0. They maintain the record of being the first nation to make it to every World Cup finals.

The defending champions, France, have also booked their place in the World Cup finals. This was after they were declared winners of Group D.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina were the latest nation to secure their spot in Qatar following a draw against Brazil.

Others nations that have also qualified are, England, Belgium, Serbia, Netherlands, Spain, Croatia and Switzerland.

Out of the 32 teams expected to participate in the tournament, 13 are already confirmed.
