Russia vs Ukraine: I Don’t Understand This Insensitivity -By Azuka Onwuka
Russia had annexed Crimea in 2014 and now wants to annexe the whole of Ukraine, yet some people regularly give reasons to support that in the name of being against the West.

I don’t understand it when I see people clapping for Russia for bombing residential buildings and communities in Ukraine.
It is even worse when I see an Igbo person involved in this, knowing the horrors Igbos witnessed when Nigerian troops were dropping bombs at markets and churches and villages during the Biafran War in the name of winning the war by all means against clearly-defined rules of engagement in wars.
Ukraine’s case is even worse because Ukraine is an independent country being invaded by Russia while Biafra was a part of Nigeria.
It befuddles me because I know that Igbos hate being dominated or enslaved by any group. Igbos are known to hate injustice and any form of enslavement.
Russia had annexed Crimea in 2014 and now wants to annexe the whole of Ukraine, yet some people regularly give reasons to support that in the name of being against the West.
I don’t understand this insensitivity.
I don’t understand what is behind this.
