Nigeria, like many other countries of the world habitually fond of applauding and crowing mediocre to the helm of sensitive positions. Lackluster and uncivil personalities are now equally found everywhere. When unscrupulous activities are being constituted by the market women, we would say because she is a market trader or when a villager act obnoxiously we would say he is from village or under-civilized.

What about a situation like this: where our Medical professionals are acting this way? Coats are meant to be used for laboratory or ward practices and are now seeing everywhere. I have seen so many people, ranging from students and practitioners flaunting around with their coats as normal things on their bodies. And most time if you challenge the status quo, they will be like, what do you know? well, you are still a student, how dare you call my actions and inactions.

Imagine if this shallow utterance is coming from a learned person, what would you expect from his trainees? what a legacy of madness! Well, this is not about your personality but it is just about the wellness of the populace. In a simple language, the coat is an outer cloth to be worn by professionals to protect their bodies from the unfavorable atmosphere in the working place. It is mostly worn by Medical Laboratory scientists, Doctors, Nurses, laboratory assistants, and students of the various disciplines.

As a professional, you are licensed to alleviate sorrows and pains from people not to transmit diseases to the environment; After knowing fully of the consequences that may emanate from your maniacal behavior. what a disgrace of the highest order! On what purpose can a sensitive professional hike away from the working environment with a coat and some amazing work down to canteens to rumble their bellies with meals.

However, most of the aetiological causes of the disease that affect human’s state of wellness are microorganisms that can only be seen with the aids of microscopic devices. Most of these Medical professionals work collaboratively to achieve the desire goals in order to restore their patient’s health. Usually, when these people are working directly or indirectly they get in contact with these organisms but they are mostly protected by their coats and these microbes choose to inhabit the coat.

Furthermore, if these professionals mistakenly walk out of the working corridor with the cloth decked on the neck, in carrying out social activities such as walking, shaking friends, eating, embracing fellow and others. Therefore, he or she invariably transmit avalanches of infections to society. To contain this sporadic menace that is the reason why it was tagged as a laboratory or ward coat not everywhere you go.

A hospital is a sensitive environment where patients with varieties of pathological conditions ranging from acute and chronic diseases are being treated and managed. So, I implore the health professionals to please be conscious of the safety measures in and out of the premises so as to save our world from communicable disease – Which could affect everyone emotionally, socially, economically, and psychologically.

To the general populace, let not negligibly bequeath the affairs of the people on the helm of some insensitive people like this. Remember that common sense is not a common trait. So, it is our responsibility to always evince the sphere practical action for them to be fully aware so as to thwart our environment from being severely threatened by uncontrollable disease.
