The concerns were voiced during an online meeting where participants expressed frustration over worsening insecurity and discussed lawful ways to enhance community safety.
According to a statement signed by youth activist Bello Bala Shagari (Yariman Shagari), the Member representing Yabo/Shagari Federal Constituency, Hon. Umar Yusuf Yabo, appealed for patience, adherence to due process, and wider consultation in addressing the issue.
Bello Bala Shagari, however, stressed the need for urgent intervention, including the deployment of security personnel to reassure residents.
He further noted that, if approved by the authorities, local youths are ready to undergo structured training within the bounds of the law to participate in community-safety initiatives.
