Food Aid to Maiduguri for flood victim

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, led by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and commonly known as Shiites, have extended a helping hand to flood victims in Maiduguri, Borno State, by distributing food aid.

The distribution began on Monday, September 30, 2024, and is expected to last for a week, according to our reporter who was present at the event.

The initiative, led by the Zahara Mawakib Committee, specifically targets those most affected by the recent floods in Maiduguri and surrounding areas.

Idris Muhammad Katusha, one of the coordinators overseeing the food distribution, confirmed that the effort will continue for seven days. “Today marks the first day of this noble endeavor, and by the grace of God, we will carry it out over the next seven days,” he stated.

He added, “This humanitarian effort is in line with the teachings and practices of our leader, Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky, and it is being done to help alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the floods.”

In addition to the food distribution, members of the Islamic Movement took the opportunity to extend heartfelt condolences to the people of Maiduguri who have been affected by this natural disaster.
