Stop bellyaching, you don’t represent us -Northern Group tell Salihu Lukman
He declared, “Nigerians ought to stop taking Lukman seriously at this moment in time. In addition to being unfounded, his claims reveal a serious misapprehension of both the political environment and the accomplishments of President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Dr. Salihu Lukman, the former vice chairman of the All Progressives Party, came under fire on Friday from the Northern Youth Network on Peace for his comments about President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Adaji Ajibili, the group’s spokesman, charged Lukman with politicizing division and not having the authority to speak for the North at a briefing in Abuja.
He declared, “Nigerians ought to stop taking Lukman seriously at this moment in time. In addition to being unfounded, his claims reveal a serious misapprehension of both the political environment and the accomplishments of President Bola Tinubu’s government.
“We urge Nigerians to recognize Lukman’s focus on personal ambitions over national interests, which highlights his inability to contribute anything meaningful to the national discourse. All he is doing is complaining about not being allocated a public office after the divisive role he played in the past.
“The Northern Youth Network on Peace appeals to President Tinubu not to give any relevance to Dr. Salihu Lukman’s remarks, as he speaks only for himself and in no way represents the sentiments and beliefs of the North.
“President Tinubu remains the contemporary leader capable of guiding Nigeria to greater heights, and we will not be distracted by the unfounded claims of dissatisfied individuals.”
