This is the third time in less than a month that a seemingly minor dispute has spiraled into deadly violence.

On the same day, September 3, police in Delta State arrested a 21-year-old mother of two, identified simply as Lilian, for allegedly stabbing her partner to death during a domestic quarrel in the Ijanpa Road area.

Similarly, on August 29, a trader identified as Ebuka Adindu from Abia State fatally stabbed another trader, Sodiq Ibrahim from Kogi State, following an argument at Mandilas Market, Lagos Island.
