The Faith Of Private Workers In A Trying Situation -By Onawola Abdulqodri Adewale
Nigerian Government has its own problems to bear but not withstanding, it is the responsibility of the Government to protect the lives and properties in the country.

Unlike Government workers who enjoy subsequent scrumptiousness in service, workers working in private sectors enjoy less of all these. Ever since the closure of all enterprises in Nigeria in order to curtail the spreading virus, COVID_ 19 pandemic, workers bear the burden and in a larger sphere, it costs some their jobs.
Private workers bear it in mind that salaries may not be in its normal conditions, which means that salaries may not be steadily paid or not paid at all. The reason for this is that sales transactions in business have been disrupted.
On the contrary, Government workers are always under the shield of Government. Government do have relieve programs for its workers in a trying situation and the salaries are still being paid. This exposes the opposing relationship between the private workers and Government workers.
Couple of months ago till the present, most private sectors are unable to run business activities and when this happens, income is not earned so salaries may not be paid. This landed a negative effect on workers in private sectors unlike Government workers.
In line with expressions of Timothy Olawale, Director_ General of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association_ NECA expressed that employers need to respect agreement of working system. It is the responsibility of Employers to pay the salaries of employees so far the contract between them is not terminated.
As the case appears in Nigeria, workers working in private sectors are really in a trying situation since shut down have been introduced. The most affected people in this trying situation are those working in private schools. Employers derail from the responsibility of prompt payment of salaries to the aspect of paying half salaries while some has paid none.
Seeing a devoted private worker going to farm in order to prevent starvation is a heart breaking development. How on earth can a Teacher who definitely has a source of income be in the thick of unpleasantness due to outbreak.
Since Government has no fixed date for resumption of schools, this kind of treatment would definitely continue. No one knows for how long this would last, this set of people have their salaries at stake while all human necessary needs await behind them.
It would have been a great influence to call on their respective Employers to come to their aids but this situation already portrayed a disrupt in the flow of business operation. The pressing notion is, where would the aid come from?
On the larger sphere, this set of people are citizens of the country which suggests that they are under the benevolent umbrella of Nigerian Government.
Although, Nigerian Government has its own problems to bear but not withstanding, it is the responsibility of the Government to protect the lives and properties in the country.
The pressing notion that best complete this piece is that who would come to the aid of this particular people in a trying situation like this? Long live Nigeria!
