By looking at the up to the minute issue arising everyday in our country concerning the incremental fuel price we may say their is no democracy in Nigeria. Because Abraham Lincoln said Democracy is government of the people, by the people and for the people. But there is not like that in Nigeria, our leaders are just working to gain their on profit they have no corner of the masses. Their only problem is how they can get money to have luxury cars, houses and send their children’s to abroad etc.

Take a look of just recent election the esteem of poor Nigerians have been allay from collecting N3,000 to N5,000 in exchange for their plebiscite to accepting a packet of Spaghetti or crappy material. So, what are we expecting from a president who don’t understand the fundamental of simple economics? A Commander who just want to be president so that chronicle will have it, not like he knows the lineup to offer to stronger the economic upturn.

Now as a result of the incremental of fuel pump price transportation fare increased by above and beyond 75percent for both inter and intra city transportation.

Nigerians are in dire situation because of this fuel price, it affects our way of living, daily routine, increments of foodstuffs e.t.c.

In discussion with one drive on my way going to the office he was telling me that if not because of this extension, concerning the fuel price a day he can be able to gain more than 10k a day, but because of the increased it is had to get even 3k a day.

Nigeria 🇳🇬 is the only country that a poor will get poorer, while the rich become richer.
Nigeria is the sixth largest exporter of petroleum in the world, in fact one commodity that can easily define Nigerians economy is petrol.

If you look up the history of fuel price and the increased in Nigeria is started since [1966-1975] during General Yakubu Gawon tenure as a head of state increased the price of petrol from 6k to 8.46k.

The incremental of fuel is still going on up to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan were the pump price of petrol change three times N65-N141, N141-N97, N97- N87 in 2010 to 2015.

Former president Muhammadu Buhari 2015 despite his campaign promise to reduce the price of fuel, but unfortunately he increased the price of the fuel from N87 to N220 and now current President Bola Ahmad Tinubu from N220 to N640 in just three month he even triple the price.

All what I will said is that government just decide on what they want. They are using the lower classes am very sure they know what to do but they refused to do it. They always doing something that will be their favour they don’t care about the citizens.
