The irony of life -By Azuka Onwuka

On May 28, Ekene Kingsley Okpala (Ekene New Age) buried his mum in Adazi-Ani, Anambra State. His friends also raised millions of naira for him and dozens of cows were gifted to him. Obi Cubana must have also donated money to support him. So Ekene New Age simply reciprocated the gesture this time.

Yesterday I posted the story of Ekene Kingsley Okpala, CEO of New Age Mobile Concepts, makers of New Age power bank, etc, who gave one million naira each for business startup to 53 kinsmen of his, and many people rained prayers on him and praised him for showing a better example unlike “those men showing off for Obi Cubana”.

I had a good laugh. Do you know why I laughed? Ekene Kingsley Okpala (popularly known as Ekene New Age) was the number 9 on the list of friends who contributed money in support of the burial of the mother of Obi Cubana. He donated one million naira. Check that list again please.

So the same man who was among those pilloried for “disgusting show-off” at Obi Cubana’s event was praised for turning the lives of 53 youths around.🤣 Interestingly, many who made these comments did not know.

The funeral of the mother of Ekene New Age was like a carnival. But many did not hear about that burial ceremony because Ekene New Age is not into showbiz.

Sometimes, life issues can be like the story of the six blind men who went to “see” the elephant.😅
