One of the assignment life will give you is knowing yourself, yes knowing yourself. Some people says if you don’t know your assignment, others will invite you to carry out theirs. To some extent it means you know them right? But I tell you something. If you don’t know yourself, you won’t know others.

Let me give you an example, some years back I was eating in our corridor, we have three dogs, a big one and two puppies who usually stare whenever I eat. One day, the two puppies came as usual but I refuse to answer them why? I was somehow selfish then. Lol, then the Holy Spirit ministered to me. He said if these two knew themselves, they wouldn’t be like this waiting for you to feed them. As I was ruminating on this, cos I don’t really get it. He explained, if they knew they ought to be in the bush hunting for their meals, they won’t be here. If you truly know your state, I mean yourself, you won’t be like this.

You can’t know people if you don’t know yourself, so you won’t be able to please them no matter your efforts, from the dog stories, if they knew I wouldn’t give them despite their tails wriggling and tongues out, they would have find their ways. It means no time for nonsense. Some people will be trashed but their bosses, scorned and ignored by them yet they kept pushing, why? They don’t want to lose their means of livelihood.

Don’t you know that knowing yourself is a currency. You can and forever will trade with it if you know who you are. See, let me tell you, there are places you will get to in life, there are people you will meet that your money, that million dollars in your bank account will be the first thing that will shut you up. Yes, money can shut you up, any fool can work hard and earn living. Zuckerberg is not an evangelist neither is Bill Gate a pastor yet they are filthy rich. What bought those men honour? Knowing themselves not the money they possess. Knowing who you are will buy you honour, friendship and loyalty, stability in life and purpose etc.

Now who are you? Knowing who you are is a spiritual reality. It isn’t something you wake up and pick from an hanger like your well-tailored suit. Nope!!!. You must see yourself before you know yourself, why?? You are made of two entities, your old nature which is your adamic nature and your new nature in Christ.

The Bible says ‘By one man sins, the world died but by one man’s death, the world resurrected’. You must firstly know your nature, your natural existence that comes with your Adamic nature. The Bible says “for all have seen and fall short the glory of God”. Your sinful and my sinful nature must be properly looked into.

Because whether you like it or not that is the area your weaknesses emerged. Your old nature is a place of weakness. You have anger spirit, lust, ignorance, wickedness etc comes from this place and you can’t deal with them until you accept that they are a part of you.

Don’t be ignorant, even if they Bible says what you said it does, Jesus paternal grandfather hope you are hearing me? You get angry like anything, when you enter your house like this, the children knew the lion of the tribe of their family is around, when you eye your kids or siblings, the heart starts screaming “Patience Ozokwor” danger alert and you are still quoting the Bible to justify that? Some will even say Jesus got angry and curses the fig tree. Yes but don’t you know that Father is telling unfruitful trees like you that you are prone to destruction?? He will destroy you! To whom much is given, much is expected abeg.

When you see yourself through this lens and you were about to admit so as to work on it, you must go to your Father, your weakness are things physical eyes can see but you are a spiritual being. The Bible says God is spirit and those that worship Him, worship in truth and in Spirit. You must know yourself as a recreated spirit. The Bible says, you are the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. Know yourself as this and don’t take it for granted. Know yourself, a man of God says, if you haven’t prayed, don’t trust anything you see, I mean things that are working for you because they will soon fizzle away.
