These Days When It Rains I Think Of People In Kidnappers’ Dens — Lord Have Mercy -By Joe Dauda
Let the thought that your fellow countrymen (some richer and more educated than you) are currently tied hand and foot and living like animals, cause you to spare a moment for introspection;
It could have been you — or me.
Let this thought keep you grateful;
Let it keep you humble;
Let it help you consider the uncertainty of life;
Let it inspire you to live right for some of these people will never make it alive and may not have been given an opportunity to say their “last prayer”;
Let the thought that your fellow countrymen (some richer and more educated than you) are currently tied hand and foot and living like animals, cause you to spare a moment for introspection;
Let it motivate you to trust in something — or Someone — not limited by security budgets or saddled with any sort of inability;
Know that today — even today — is pregnant with all sorts of possibilities, both good and bad.
Lastly, remember these chilling words from the lips of Him Who cannot lie for His nickname is Truth.
Luke 13:1-5
[1] There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
[2] And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
[3] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
[4] Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
[5] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
May God have mercy on all of us.
