1. If Not For High Tech Missile Defence Technology Thousands Of Israelis Would Have Been Dead

Below is news about Israel’s new missile shield known as the Iron Beam, which uses laser technology to thwart incoming missiles and drones at a cost far less than that of the Iron Dome

Iron Beam is a directed-energy weapon air defense system unveiled at the Singapore Airshow on February 11, 2014 by Israeli defense contractor Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

In the Second Lebanon War, 4,000 missiles were fired at Israel from Lebanon, as a result of which 56 Israelis were killed. This time, nearly 12,000 missiles were fired at Israel, mostly from Gaza, but also from Lebanon and Syria, and only five people were killed. From the second week that the system was fully deployed, no one was killed.”

According to the Wall Street Journal:

Israel has informed Egypt that it is going to launch an operation to take over the Philadelphi corridor very soon.

This is the main oxygen pipe of Hamas, from where weapons are smuggled into the Gaza Strip, in addition to the fear of tunnels crossing into Egypt through which kidnappers and senior officials can be smuggled. Taking over the Philadelphi corridor could be a tie breaking move in the ongoing war.

My comment: Anything that will hasten the end of this war is highly welcome. Especially for the sake of innocent babies, women, children, and even men.

According to a Western source, all Gulf (Arab) states have permitted Britain and the US to use their airspace to strike Yemen, with the exception of Oman.
