Tinubu Alone Did Not make Buhari President, Group Slams Presidential Aid, Hails Boss Mustapha

The leadership of Buhari for Better Tomorrow Movement has slammed the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Mr. Tope Ajayi for describing recent truth revealed by the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha as disservice to the nation.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday by the national publicity secretary of the group, Mallam Abdul Shaibu, the group frowned at what it described as ‘over jealous action’ of a low paid staff of the President who wants to climb on the back of the former Chief Scribe of the nation to push for recognition and pay rise.

The group said, instead of addressing issues raised by the former SGF, the presidential aid chose to chase shadows.

Adding that the crux of the matter remains the fact that Tinubu alone did not make Buhari President as people were made to believe because the former president already had over 12 million-vote bank before the merging that gave birth to APC.

The group further stated that if President Tinubu is the maker of Presidents, while didn’t he make Nuhu Ribadu president in 2011 when he was the Presidential Candidate of his party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)?

We don’t want to say, ‘Mr. Physician, heal yourself’ to the President, but we cannot forget the fact that even the ‘maker of presidents’ could not deliver votes to Nuhu Ribadu in Lagos State in 2011 just the way he could not deliver Lagos votes to himself in 2023.

Instead of attacking Boss Mustapha for summoning the courage to say the truth at a time simple truth has become scarce commodities, Mr. Ajayi and others who thinks like him should commend the former SGF for setting the records straight.

In any case, we urge the President and his handlers not to deal with the messenger but to deal with the message instead.

If both former Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Good luck Jonathan did not allow institutions to work, Tinubu’s Presidency and claims of who made Buhari President would not have surfaced in the first place.

Therefore, we urge Mr. Ajayi and others to face the tasks of nation building and leave Boss Mustapha alone.
