Tompolo Denies Issuing 21-Day Ultimatum to FG Over Nnamdi Kanu, Reaffirms Support for Tinubu
Ex-militant leader Tompolo has dismissed reports claiming he gave the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to release IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu. In a statement, he described the story as fake news spread by his enemies and reaffirmed his full support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has dismissed reports claiming he gave the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Tompolo described the viral reports as false and malicious, insisting that they were fabricated by individuals seeking to tarnish his image and undermine his efforts in the fight against illegal oil activities in the Niger Delta.
In a statement issued by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation, stressing that he had no involvement in any matter relating to Nnamdi Kanu.
“We wish to state unequivocally and unambiguously that Tompolo did not author the said publication. High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement read.
It further stated:
“It is clearly the handiwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region. These set of people have failed and will continue to fail because he will not relent in his duty to eradicate illegal oil operations in the area.”
Tompolo also reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging continued cooperation with the Federal Government.
“We wish to reassure the Federal Government, led by our dynamic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that Tompolo is with him and will continue to support the renewed hope agenda of his government,” the statement added.
The ex-militant leader further expressed confidence in the president’s leadership and restated his endorsement of Tinubu for a second term, emphasizing his determination to support national stability and development.
“Once again, the Federal Government and the general public should ignore the said publication,” the statement concluded.
