Chief Magnus Ike, CEO of Magnus Merchandise, whose multi-billion-naira property was among those demolished Thursday at the Trade Fair Complex, has vowed that the demolition will not hinder the growth of his business.

“Demolition or not, I’ll continue to build. Lagos is for all of us, we go nowhere,” Ike told Vanguard while meeting with foreign partners at the site of the demolished property.

The businessman, who said he had federal government approval before beginning construction, criticized the Lagos State Government’s action, noting that he was never officially notified.
